Tupac Shakur was born on June 16th 1971 in New York New York. Being the son of a Black Panther actavist Tupac moved around alot as a child. As a teenager tupac moved to Baltimore where he first discoverd rap music and began doing shows in New York. In the late 1980s, He moved with his family out west to Oakland where he later met up with the hip-hop ground "digital underground". in 1991 Tupac changed his name to "2pac" and released his first album "2pacalypse now". 2pacs fame quickly rose as he released a number of number 1 albums such as "Me against the world" and "All eyez on me". As his fame grew so did his contreversy, his lyrics of sex, gang life, and drugs angered many. his troubles caught up to him in 1994 as he was shot 5 times in a lobby during a mugging. once recovering, Tupac was sentenced to four and a half years in jail for sexual assualt. after serving 8 months in prison he was bailed out by Death Row records CEO Suge Knight. the rapper came back on the scene and was more contreversial than ever. a beef with bad boy records ensued. unfortuanatlly the MCs life was cut short on September 7th 1996 as he was shot down in Las Vegas. the gritty rapper who told stories in his music of life in the streets life ended at only 25 years old.

the title of this song speaks for itself, tupacs mentallity of life in general was it was him against the world. he wrote music for the people who didnt have much and felt that it was them against the world. the song goes deep into a persons mind and will get them thinking on life itself. i enjoy listening to this song because it is true poetry, his lyrics have meaning and you can feel his pain and passion with every song he sings.
